On the home stretch

Exercise prepares you for life

Sport is not just a lifestyle trend - it is a biological necessity. For hundreds of thousands of years, our ancestors lived as hunters and gatherers in environments where daily physical activity was essential for survival. Today’s lifestyle, often spent sitting for hours, stands in stark contrast; regular movement is therefore all the more important to maintain balance.

Longevity and sport

Longevity experts recognise that exercise is one of the most important, scientifically proven factors that slow ageing and prevent disease. Its positive effects on the cardiovascular system, muscles and bones, metabolism, immune and hormonal systems, brain, and mental health are undeniable. In the longevity community, four pillars of movement are generally highlighted: endurance training, strength training, stretching, and everyday movement (e.g., taking the stairs). Exercise also amplifies the benefits of other longevity practices, such as fasting or cold therapy.

Fitness is the strongest indicator of how long and how healthily you will live.

Holidays that inspire

It is the combination of activity and recovery that keeps us fit for longer. At Posthotel Achenkirch, we offer around 60 hours per week of supervised movement and relaxation programmes, usually included in your stay. In addition, you can use our 500 m² indoor and outdoor fitness facilities: yoga platform, bouldering wall, Synrgy tower, slackline, boccia, trampoline, table tennis, as well as our well-equipped strength room with Life Fitness equipment, the boxing room, and energy room for individual meditation, yoga, and gymnastics sessions.

Exclusively for our guests

On request and for an additional fee, you can use our indoor tennis courts (we are happy to arrange a playing partner) or the squash court. The hotel grounds also feature stables with Lipizzaner horses and indoor and outdoor riding facilities. Lessons, trail rides, and carriage rides are available. Directly opposite the hotel is our own 9-hole Alpengolf course, where guests enjoy special privileges. Of course, we also provide personalised coaching in the strength room and Longevity Lab.
