Every good day starts with a good night
The foundation of a refreshing holiday is good sleep - whether you are exercising, enjoying wellness, indulging in delicious food, or consulting with our biohacking experts. In many areas of the hotel, we switch to “melatonin lighting” in the evening, and depending on your room category, you sleep on high-quality bed systems, some of which can even be personalised.
Longevity and sleep
In the biohacking community, optimising sleep is of great importance. Healthy sleep not only boosts physical and cognitive performance but also strengthens the immune system, regulates hormone production, and aids recovery after training. Sufficient sleep, a regular sleep-wake rhythm, and optimised bedroom conditions (temperature, humidity, light, noise) are the first important steps toward a more restorative night.
Sleep is the best medicine for health and performance that nature has given us.
Special bed systems
For an excellent night, Posthotel Achenkirch offers a variety of bed systems. You can choose between cold foam core mattresses or box-spring beds, the renowned Samina Power-Sleeping system, or the individually adjustable Youbed. The Youbed pocket-spring mattresses can be adjusted via remote control to be firmer or softer in different body zones - providing a hotel bed that perfectly adapts to your body shape, sleep position, and comfort preferences. High-quality down pillows and duvets are provided, with allergy-friendly bedding, summer and winter duvets, neck rolls, and support cushions available on request.
Melatonin lighting
Bright daylight promotes the release of serotonin, the hormone that keeps us awake and happy. In the evening, natural sunlight turns reddish, triggering the release of melatonin, which makes us sleepy and aids falling asleep. Artificial lighting or screens emitting blue light can disrupt our sleep rhythm. To counteract this, many public areas of the hotel switch to warm, calming melatonin lighting in the evening.
