Above all, our chefs’ skills lie in their unique ability to combine regional ingredients with international influences to compose new creations. In addition, they are constantly discovering recipes from bygone times and adding fresh pizzazz to them. The combination of pleasure and health is also very important to our chefs. In our restaurant TENZO, they combine Alpine cuisine with Asian healing art and take luxury gastronomy to a whole new level: food as a source of well-being.

In the eight dining areas of the Posthotel, guests can enjoy the chefs’ creativity every day. For allergy sufferers and vegans, we have our own menu for you to choose from.


The Posthotel Achenkirch is not only the most renowned hotel at the Tyrolean Lake Achensee, but also owns one of the largest agricultural businesses in the region. The Reitergütl is within sight of the Posthotel, a model farm with a sizeable population of dairy cows, cattle, calves, and horses. The products couldn’t be fresher, and you can taste them in our gourmet kitchen.

Live cooking with our top chef

As part of our “Live Cooking Experience”, which has been popular for years, you have the unique opportunity to cook together with our chef Fabian Leinich in our active hotel in Austria. By preparing a seasonal 4-course menu together, you will gain insight into our culinary philosophy and also get practical tips and tricks from the top chef. Here, new worlds open up to your senses – it’s the epitome of pure enjoyment!


The evening starts at 5:30 p.m. with a glass of Prosecco as an aperitif in the new interactive kitchen in the renovated building “Stammhaus”. The programme includes preparing an exquisite four-course meal together, followed by a festive dinner enjoyed as a group. An important part of this extraordinary evening is the direct exchanges with the passionate award-winning chef.


The event finishes around 9:00 p.m. and takes place with a minimum of five and a maximum of ten participants. A contribution of €75 per person goes towards expenses. A recipe folder and a gift are included in the price.
