From 9th February to 18th March, enthusiastic amateur photographer Thomas Neuhauser will be presenting his latest works in the Gallery and corridor of the Posthotel’s Landhaus South. To celebrate the opening of the vernissage, there will be a personal address by the artist with explanations about his work.

Thomas Neuhauser, photographer

By day, Thomas Neuhauser is a financial accountant who spends his time working with numbers; his real passion, however, lies in photography. From 2013 to 2016, he undertook a course in applied and artistic photography at the Prager Fotoschule in Austria. His diploma project, “Reise ins Selbst” (Journey into Yourself) is available in bookstores.

Himalayan Streetstyle

The photos for this project were taken between October 2016 and April 2017. On one hand, Thomas Neuhauser went in search of things which were difficult for people near the Himalayas in India and Rajasthan to access. On the other hand, he captures the deep sense of joy that radiates amongst people and shares their happiness with the viewer.

With photographs from his “Streetlife” project, the photographer shares scenes of happiness from the Himalaya region in India.

Citylife – Seeing architecture in a different light

For his Citylife project, Thomas Neuhauser travelled to cities such as Chicago, Dresden, Prague and Vienna. His mission was to capture architecture from a different viewpoint. With reflections and distortions using time exposure and a wide-angle lens, Neuhauser photographed buildings from both the outside and inside.

Vernissage at the Posthotel Achenkirch

The exhibition will be opened on the 9th of February at 6 p.m. by Thomas Neuhauser himself. He will be available during the evening to answer any questions and tell the stories behind his photographs of the world.

The photographs exhibited will be available to purchase from the Posthotel. Our boutique Posthotel staff will be happy to answer any questions about the Thomas Neuhauser vernissage.
