At the Posthotel Achenkirch, we are totally committed to “green luxury”: In order for you, our guest, to also feel at ease when it comes to the environment, we place great value on sustainability – holistically and to the highest degree.


Regionality and seasonality of food produce

  • Organic haute cuisine with products grown locally in harmony with nature – for 4 generations
  • Our Alps supply us with milk, butter, veal, lamb, beef and bacon
  • Cheese and honey are produced by farmers from the Zillertal valley
  • Our jams and spruce tip, lilac blossom and elderberry syrups are made here at the Posthotel
  • Our pasta is also made based on our homemade recipe
  • Trout and char straight from Lake Achensee
  • 82 different organic herbs and spices from our very own herb garden

  • Since June 2012, our premises have been heated using locally grown energy sources (wood chips): Wood chip and biomass thermal power plant for our heating and hot water supply
  • A photovoltaic system delivers part of our electricity needs
  • Posthotel sanctuary – feel-good climate for employees with low energy consumption
  • Natural “Rosalpina” cosmetics from Piroche and “Alpienne”
