History of the Posthotel and the privat Lipizzaner breed

Whenever you stop trying to improve, you've stopped being good is the principle that defines our efforts that began with theopening of Posthotel around 1500 and is still valid today. Emperor Franz Joseph I enjoyed true Tyrolean hospitality in 1881 in the Gasthof zur Post, formerly at this location. Our restaurants " Kaiserstube(The Emperor Room) and " Gaststube " (Traveler's Room) are reminiscent of these times. In 1987 a Lipizzaner stallion from the Spanish Riding School in Vienna was bought. He was soon followed by others, and the stud farm at Posthotel has since become the largest privateLipizzaner stud in all of Europe.
